Join pastors and staff for a sixty-minute, facilitated workshop that will introduce core insights into Black Liberation Theology, as well as other liberation theologies that have emerged from communities seeking justice, dignity, and freedom. Through guided discussion, we will explore how the lived experiences of oppression and hope have shaped individuals’ and communities’ faith, and how theological voices challenge the church to see God’s work through the lens of liberation, solidarity, and transformation.
This adult education session will offer both historical grounding and space for reflection, and invite us to listen, learn, and engage thoughtfully with perspectives that have profoundly influenced the global church and its witness in the world. Coffee and light lunch provided. RSVPs not required, but appreciated for planning purposes.
Please note: Grace and Covenant will each host their own event concurrently; when signing up, please note which church's event you'll be attending.
